Paraiba Tourmaline was recently discovered by a tireless digger, Heitor Dimas Barbosa who, in 1988, was carrying out excavations in the state of Paraiba, Brazil. Only in 2000 new mines were discovered in Africa, within the states of Mozambique and Nigeria.

No stone in the world comes near to the tones of the Paraiba, determined by the particular presence of Copper and Manganese in its chemical composition. It has a vivid glow, a deep colour saturation, magical shades ranging from bright turquoise to blue-green.
